Abstract

Ethics can be defined as a moral code by which a person lives. It prescribes what we ought to do when confronted with specific situations. The goal of ethics is to instill a strong sense of principles that govern behavior or conduct. When applied to cybersecurity, ethics provides an understanding of the rules of ethical behavior that can help practitioners figure out what is expected of them. In the world of cybersecurity, ethical practices are essential for protecting data and maintaining trust. This paper provides an introduction to cybersecurity ethics.
