Abstract

The use of shifonemas, medicinal plant names in language has been a topic of interest for linguists and botanists alike. In French, shifonemas often include color adjectives, providing a unique perspective on how the language and culture view the world. This study aims to explore the color picture of the world through shifonemas in French. In this article, we introduce the topic and provide background information on the linguistic aspects of the “color picture of the world” through shifonemas in french. We discuss also the importance of studying linguistic sources to understand the evolution of this symbolism of colors. Further research and analysis are required to fully understand the linguistic and cultural significance of French shifonemas in describing the natural world.
